On August 28, 2008, the SEC seized the WexTrust Investment Company and indicted its principals. That was the beginning of the nightmare for 1,400 WexTrust investors.

Vivian says, “The real injustice happened when the courts took over. I know, because I am one of the WexTrust victims who were in the process of investing more. I couldn’t accept the way we were treated. So I fought, with a few of the victims, to improve our situation, getting over five million dollars back from holdbacks. But, it was still not enough to save us all from food stamps and losing our homes.”
